Susan and my daughter Gail got everybody together for my 70th birthday party on May 11th, 2011. I hadn’t seen some of these people in 10 to 15 years. Very old friends and a bunch of them were modelers. 38 in all attended. It was planned as a barbeque, but the weather turned cold and wet and we moved it to the lower level of our house. A wonderful time, an event I will remember forever.
First, left to right, a pic of me, Wes Bradley and Lewis Pruneau. Old, old friends! Click on image to enlarge.

Susan’s 70th won’t be for another 5 years, I know, I robbed the cradle 46 years ago! I was a mature 23 and she was a teeny bopper! The perfect end to the perfect birthday!
Oh Yeah, I have weight trained since I was a teenager. Susan since she married me. Here is a shot of me when I was 68.
I had vowed to do a 700 pound leg press when I was 70. So, I prepared for it for about 3 months and about two weeks before my B-day, I did it at the Pelican Gum in Seabrook, Texas, I did it. Here is 680 pounds on the leg press machine.
I am loading the last 20 pounds before beginning. I had quite a little crowd watching an elderly man life this much weight.
Here is what 700 pounds looks like.
Preparing to press.
All the way out. A little red faced but no problem.
And back to the starting position. Mission accomplished.
